( Brief )
Just Roll bakes simit dough into a cone, fills it savoury or sweet at the counter, and sells it from a food trailer at city festivals, markets and company parties around Hamburg. The brand already had a strong voice — an orange-and-black logo, a "Tradition, die man schmeckt" seal and a cast of cartoon characters — but no website that carried it. I designed and built one that does.
( Approach )
Every page is built from the brand's own parts: Inter set tight and heavy, orange and ink grounds, cream paper sections, rounded cards, and the characters running through the layout. The menu gives every roll its own character; the events page answers what an organiser needs — trailer size, power, hygiene, how the day runs — before they pick up the phone. GSAP and Lenis handle the motion, which stays out of the way under reduced motion.

( Challenge )
The site had to feel as playful as the trailer without losing what an event organiser actually needs to book it. The answer was to let the characters and colour carry the fun while every page still answers a practical question first — what is on the menu, how big the trailer is, what it needs on site, how to ask for a date. Being a German business, it also needed a compliant Impressum, privacy policy and cookie consent from day one.
( Responsibilities )
Site design and build, the motion system, menu and events content structure, German legal pages and cookie consent, and SEO with structured data for the business, its menu and its FAQs.
